Lady Kiara Manuel
Kiara Manuel is the daughter of the Most High King, who loves to serve the Lord in any way she
can. She has been blessed by the Lord to serve in her roles as wife to her wonderful husband,
Pastor Darnell A. Manuel, and mother to their five beautiful children: Ethan Michael, Jordyn
Rose, Malia Hannah, and her twin girls, Kayla Grace and Kyla Faith. She counts these two roles
as her greatest responsibilities and receives the greatest joy in carrying out these God given
duties.
Kiara was raised in the Coachella Valley and matriculated through the Desert Sands Unified
School District. After graduating from La Quinta High School, she attended Riverside
Community College and Kaplan College, where she received her certification in Medical
Administration and Billing. Kiara is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in healthcare
administration and Christian Ministries, while working full-time as a medical coder for the
University of California, San Francisco Health System.
Kiara has also helped to establish the African American Parent Advisory Committee in Desert
Sands Unified School District and was honored to be the founding President of this committee.
Kiara appreciated being able to serve the community and schools where she matriculated. Kiara
is a firm believer that representation matters, and she firmly believes that God placed her in
this position to help students and families to be heard and get assistance where needed. Also,
to make sure that African American students are not left behind or forgotten about in our
education system.
Kiara has served in the Valley District Association of the California State Baptist Convention for
many years. She has served as the Youth Director, Women’s Ministry Liaison, and Choir/Music
Director. Kiara has also served on the Young Adult Cabinet from 2009 to 2011 as the Southern
California liaison. She is currently a member of the Union Baptist Church, where she serves in
the music ministry, as a servant leader to the women’s ministry, and as an Advisor to the
Children’s and Youth ministry. Kiara’s passion is to serve young ladies and women of all ages.
By inspiring and teaching them to be all that God has called them to be.
Kiara is a self-published author of her first book, titled Dear Self: Lessons from Yesterday for
Today. Kiara wrote this book/journal to encourage others to look at their pasts and embrace
the lessons they have encountered. All while being completely transparent and revealing her
own life struggles, lessons, and blessings.
Kiara’s favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not
lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your
paths straight.” Always trust in the one who created you, for he knows best, always seek him
first, and you can’t go wrong!
